Mary Toreso

Mary Toreso, 95, of Stamford passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, August 29, 2018. Mary was born November 5, 1922 in Ambler, PA to the late Mariano and Lucia Massone Pimpinella.
Mary was an avid card player, playing pokeno with her friends as well as playing bingo. She was also known for her crocheting. Mary was a league bowler, having bowled at Bowl-A-Rama in Stamford. She was also a snowbird, having spent her winters in Davie, FL.
Mary is survived by her two daughters Mary Ann Sposi and her husband Danny of Stamford, Carolyn Mason and her husband Peter of Stamford, grandchildren Tracey Downey her husband Chris, and Daniel Sposi Jr., great grandchildren Gary Morgan Jr., Austin Sposi, and Jessica Downey.
Besides her parents she was pre-deceased by her husband Thomas Toreso in 1989. As well as her siblings Eunice Durant, Cleante “Git” Pimpinella, and James Pimpinella
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Friday August 31, 2018 from 8:30AM to 9:30AM then processing to St. Mary’s RC Church, 566 Elm Street, for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 AM.
