Matthew James Russo, 28, of Stamford passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 27, 2016. He was born in Danbury on October 21, 1987 to Patrick G. Russo and Nancy Roth Russo.
Matthew worked with his father in the electrical business for ten years and then went on to being a Master Tech in the computer industry at Datto, Inc of Norwalk for the last three years. He was very talented and enjoyed playing his guitar.
He is survived by his loving mother Nancy Roth Russo of Stamford, his loving father Patrick G. Russo of Stratford, his brother Andrew J. Russo of Stamford, his maternal grandmother Veronica Roth of Stamford and his paternal grandmother Elizabeth Russo of Southbury, CT, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Matthew was predeceased by his maternal grandfather George Roth and his paternal grandfather Patrick L. Russo.
A Prayer Service will be celebrated on Friday, June 3, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Matthew’s memory to The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County, 461 Glenbrook Road, Stamford, CT 06906
