Maureen Bridget Ferro (Dulski), of Monroe, CT, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021. She was born on June 4, 1955 in Stamford, CT, and was one of four daughters born to the late Victor and Eileen Dulski,
Maureen grew up in Stamford and graduated from Trinity Catholic High School, where she met and eventually married her high school sweetheart, Alex Ferro. Maureen and Alex had two children, Alexander Ferro of Norwalk, CT and Ashley Ferro of Monroe, CT.
Maureen worked for the Saint Vincent DePaul Society in Derby, CT for several years fulfilling her passion and desire to serve and support families in need. She felt a calling to help others and support them in their time of need and was always putting the needs of others ahead of her own. Maureen always brought joy and happiness to those around her. Whether it was her piercing blue eyes, infectious smile or her memorable belly laugh, she would always light up a room and bring out the best in people. She also loved the Beatles, and her favorite song was "Imagine" by John Lennon.
Maureen is survived by her beloved husband, Alex; son Alexander; daughter Ashley; grandson Austin Vodola; her sisters Ann Drescher, Eileen Greco and husband Robert and Patty Lucadamo; sisters-in-law Marita Possidento and Jackie DeVittorio and husband Peter; brother-in-law John Ferro and wife Jane and several nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 28, 2021 at 11:00 am at St Leo’s Church, 24 Roxbury Road in Stamford, Connecticut. Maureen’s final resting place will be at St. John Cemetery in Darien with the inurnment to follow mass.
