McKinley Coker, Jr., 84, died on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at Norwalk Hospital. Born on May 10, 1925 in Blackwell, Arkansas, he was the son of McKinley Sr. and Mamie Cooper Coker.

McKinley was an auto body repairman, last working for the Ford Motor Company. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in WWII. He was also an avid Mets fan.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Freeman Coker; two sons, Michael K. Coker and his wife Deborah; Kenneth C. Coker; two daughters, Tina A Coker; Heather P. Owens and her husband Jason, all of Stamford. McKinley is also survived by three sisters, thirteen Grandchildren, seven Great-Grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by one brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, November 6, 2009, from 6:00-8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home at 6:30 PM. Interment will be private. Condolences can be made at www.cognetta.com.
