Melinda H. Smith-Ambrosecchia, 41, passed away on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born November 15, 1965 in New York City, she is the daughter of Judy Smith and the late Melvin Smith.
Melinda was a corporate attorney.
In addition to her mother, Judy Smith of Suffern, NY, she is also survived by her husband, Charles Ambrosecchia; her children, Marlena, Alexander, and Charles, Jr. all of Stamford; two sisters, Donna Gilligan of South Windsor, CT; and Debbie Reardon of Springboro, OH; three nieces and one nephew.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Henrietta and Salvador Smith; her maternal grandmother, Heidi Trankel; and her uncle, Rolf Trankel.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Saturday, July 14, 2007 from 11:00 am 12:00 noon. A service will immediately follow at the funeral home. A funeral procession will then leave and proceed to Long Ridge Union Cemetery for interment.
