Michael F. Chiravolo, 82, of Stamford, CT passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017. He was born in Stamford on December 24, 1934 to the late Anthony and Mary Matera Chiravolo.
He was an active member of The Italian Center of Stamford and a Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Michael was a retired member of the Steel Workers Union.
He is survived by his son, Michael S. Chiravolo of Stamford, daughter, Melissa and her husband Robert Chop of Ansonia, three grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony, and Alessandra Chiravolo, as well as his brother Anthony and his wife Millie of Stratford, his niece Lynn LaPrade, nephew Anthony and his wife Laura Chiravolo.
Family and friends may call at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory 104 Myrtle Avenue on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 10AM to 12PM. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at noon. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michael’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
