Michael Napolitano

Michael Napolitano, 95, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2013 surrounded by his loving daughter at the Regency Heights of Stamford. He was born in Stamford on May 3, 1918 to the late Giovanni and Rosa Giordano Napolitano.
Michael was the oldest member of the Gravenese Society beginning his membership at the age of eighteen and just recently celebrating his 77 years as a member. He was a longtime member of the Church of St. Cecilia. He also was a security guard at the former Fidelity Bank of Stamford and also worked as a security guard at the University of Bridgeport, Stamford Campus for twenty years before his retirement and was a special police officer with the City of Stamford.
Michael is survived by his loving daughter Donna Napolitano of Stamford, his brother William Napolitano and his wife Nancy of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Michael was predeceased by his wife Rose Napolitano, a daughter Rita Napolitano, four sisters Camillia Maiorani, Ficetta Nuro, Mary Romaniello and his twin sister Nettie Curcio and three brothers Samuel , Peter and Nicholas Napolitano.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory is honored to assist the Napolitano family with the arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Michael’s memory to the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905.
