It is with profound sadness that the family of Michael Violette announces his passing at Stamford Hospital on July 5, 2012 with his devoted family at his bedside following a sudden illness. Michael was born on March 29, 1970 in Stamford to Robert and Dolores Claps Violette.
He was a graduate of Westhill High School, Class of 1989. He was a former employee of Superior Rug Company. His favorite pastimes were working on cars and cooking.
Besides his parents, Michael is survived by his loving companion and the love of his life Michelle Rider, his loving sister Michele Corrow of Stamford; two nephews Tyler Corrow of Vermont, Hunter Corrow of Stamford; a niece Storm Marie Corrow of Stamford; two aunts Eleanore Gagnon and Margaret Claps of Stamford; cousins Carolyn Gagnon, Rita Curtis, Rosemary Callejas, Angelo Callejas all from Stamford ; Ellen, Thomas and Joseph Retcho of Beaver Dam, NY and an uncle Terrance Retcho of Beaver Dam, NY.
Michael was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Ella Claps, paternal grandparents, Lee and Ludgy Violette, his aunts Betty Genuario and Jeanette Retcho and an uncle Ed Gagnon.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 10:00 AM for a Mass of Christaian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM at the Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
