Michael Zavoluk

Michael Zavoluk, born in Manhattan, New York, August 5, 1918 died December 19, 2020 and has gone to heaven to be with his wife Caroline who died a year ago, to whom he had been married 75 years.
Michael and Caroline moved to Queens, NY in 1955, where they raised their 3 sons before moving to Stamford in June 2017. He is survived by his three sons: Stephen Zavoluk and wife Nan of Spring Lake, NJ, Richard Zavoluk and wife Mary Ellen Burns of Stamford, CT and William Zavoluk and wife Kathleen, of Devon, CT. They have 7 grandchildren: Michael Zavoluk of Trevose, Pennsylvania; David Zavoluk and his wife Katie of Hoboken NJ; Kevin Zavoluk and wife Megan of Mt. Pleasant, SC; Eileen Roben and her husband Shawn of Shelton CT ; Brian Zavoluk Shelton CT; Gregory Zavoluk of Buffalo NY; and Alexander Zavoluk of Austin TX. and 5 great grandchildren, Ariana, Tiernan, Daxton, HuntLee and Reilly. Michael was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Joseph Zavoluk. Michael was a veteran of WWII, serving as a Master Sergeant/Crew Chief aboard war planes in the China Burma India Theatre. When he returned, he worked at NCR as a technician his entire career.
There will be a socially distanced Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at St. Leo’s RC Church, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford CT. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, we suggest you make a donation in his name to the USO, an organization that supports the active military across the globe.
