Michelina “Meriano” Cicarelli, 89, Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, October 13, 2012. Born March 4, 1923 in Castelvetere Sul Calore, Italy to the late Michelangelo and Teresa Petruzzi Meriano.
Michelina is survived by her daughter Carmela Del Vaglio (Cesare) of Stamford. Her three grandchildren Pina Abbazia (Frank) of Stamford, Gerry Del Vaglio (Lori) of Stamford and Nando Del Vaglio (Leona) of Los Angeles, CA. Great-grandchildren Danielle and Timmy Abbazia of Stamford, Christie and Cesare (CJ) Del Vaglio of Stamford, along with several nieces and nephews in Italy.
Besides her parents Mrs. Cicarelli was predeceased by her beloved husband of over 40 years Michele Cicarelli.
Family and Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT 06902 on Wednesday, October 17th, 2012 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 10:15 AM to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at the Saint Cecilia’s RC. Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT Entombment will follow at the St. John’s Mausoleum, Darien, CT
