Millie entered the gates of heaven on May 19, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Mary Ganino D’Agostino and Ralph D’Agostino. She lived her 102 ½ years in Stamford, CT, where she attended the Stamford Public Schools.
She was raised by her loving aunt and uncle, Maria and Frank Stramandinoli, along with eight cousins and two siblings, Rose Popp and Joseph D’Agostino, who preceded her in death.
Millie was loved by all who knew her. She wholeheartedly protected her family that meant everything to her ,including her deceased husband and son, Carl Galasso Sr. and Carl Galasso Jr., her three daughters, Angela Galasso (Donald Hartman), Jacqueline Schonberg (Peter), and Lucy Galasso (Dr. Alan McCollom).
She is deeply missed by her grandchildren, Gena G. Russo (Brian), Jordan G. McCollom (Tracy), Torrie M. Hartman, Steven Schonberg (Erin); and her great-grandchildren, Leah and Owen McCollom, Logan and Reid Russo and Arlie Schonberg. She also leaves behind nieces and nephews.
Millie will always be remembered for her deep love of family and her commitment to raising and nurturing children.
Her favorite flower was the beautiful and elegant rose, a fitting symbol of our mother. May she rest in the presence of the Virgin Mary, her patron saint.
The interment will be held privately. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
