Mildred M. Sileo, 96, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013. She was born in Stamford on December 28, 1916 to the late Marco and Angelina Gerardi Rosa.
She was a member of the Sacred Heart Rosary Altar Society for over fifty years at Sacred Heart RC Church.
Mildred is survived by her daughter Kathleen Sileo of Southbury, CT, her devoted son Mark J. Sileo of Stamford and his fiancé Jacqueline M. Ruella, three granddaughters Lauren E. Wells and her husband Loren of Stamford, Tara L. and Kristen M. Sileo both of Stamford ,her great grandson Sean Wells and her sister June Lupinacci of Scotsdale, AZ, including several nieces and nephews and her canine companion The Boo.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Vito F. “Bill” Sileo and her twin sister Asunta “Sue” Panichella.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 26, 2013 at 10:30 AM in celebration of Mildred’s life at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. There will be no calling hours and Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Southbury Training School, Cottage No. 18, P.O. Box 872, Southbury, CT 06488.
