Moisés Erasmo Torres Mora, se fue a los brazos de Dios a la edad de 83 años, rodeado de su amada familia, el miércoles 20 de Enero de 2021. Moisés nació en Naranjito, Ecuador, hijo de los difuntos Rafael Torres y Faustina Mora.
Moisés era un hombre humilde, sencillo e inquebrantable en su Fe, quien enseñó a su familia a amar a Dios por encima de todo. Su legado son sus hijos, y el amor y la unidad que les inculcó. Moisés era conocido por sus famosas palabras: “Soy millonario en el amor y la fe”. Su prioridad siempre fue su familia. Fue un gran líder, respetado y admirado en su comunidad. Moisés tenía una actitud positiva, un carácter fuerte y una integridad inigualables en los buenos y malos momentos. También tenía un gran sentido del humor e iluminaba cualquier habitación en la que entraba con su sonrisa y el amor que brillaba en sus ojos. Amaba el fútbol y era conocido por ser uno de los mejores jugadores de su época. Inculcó ese amor a sus hijos, con los cuales jugó su último partido a los 83 años (¡y marcando goles!)
A Moisés le sobreviven su amada esposa durante 55 años, Gloria Morales, y sus amados hijos —Moisés Torres (y esposa Mileny), Gloria Torres (y esposo Alberto), Sally Torres (e hijos Justin, David y Steve), Rafael Torres (y novia Carol), Omar Torres (y esposa Christelle), Graciela Hernandez (y esposo Ramon), Eddy Torres (y esposa Kerly)— así como 19 nietos y 8 bisnietos.
Moisés nunca será olvidado porque su legado es eterno y sus tesoros más allá de este mundo.
Familiares y amigos pueden acudir a la funeraria y crematorio Nicholas F. Cognetta, 104 Myrtle Ave. Stamford, CT el sábado 23 de Enero de 2021 de 9:00 a.m. a 11:00 a.m. Un servicio de oración se llevará a cabo a las 11:00 am, seguido de una procesión hacia Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Ave, donde se llevará a cabo su sepelio.

Moises was a simple and humble man with an unbreakable faith who taught his family to love God above all else. His legacy is his children and the love and unity he instilled in them. He was known by his famous words: “I am a millionaire in love and faith”. His family was always his number one priority. He was a great leader, admired and respected among the community. He possessed an unmatched positive attitude, strong character and integrity in good and bad times. He was someone joyful who would brighten up any room he entered with his sweet smile and the love that shone in his eyes. He loved soccer and was known as one of the best players of his times. He continued to instill that love in his children, with whom he played his last game at 83 (and scored goals!)
Moises is survived by his loving wife of whom he has been married to for 55 years, Gloria Morales, and their loving children —Moises Torres (and wife Mileny), Gloria Torres (and husband Alberto), Sally Torres, Rafael Torres (and girlfriend Carol), Omar Torres (and wife Christelle), Graciela Hernandez (and husband Ramon), Eddy Torres (and wife Kerly)— as well as 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Moises will never be forgotten, for his legacy is eternal and he stored up treasures beyond this world.
Family and friends may attend his viewing at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, at 104 Myrtle Ave. in Stamford, CT on Saturday January 23, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A prayer service will be held at 11 a.m., followed by a procession to Fairfield Memorial Park, Oaklawn Ave, where a committal will be held.
