Myra Newton Kinzig, a lifelong Stamford resident, died Sunday April 9, 2006 at the Richard Rosenthal Hospice Residence in Stamford. She was 84.

Born in Stamford on November 3, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Herbert R. and Ethel (Van Wagener) Styles.

Mrs. Kinzig lived in Port Ewen, NY for 7 years during her childhood. She graduated from Stamford High School in 1939.

She worked for the Yale and Towne Company as a key punch operator during World War II. In the early 1990’s she retired as a data entry operator for Custom Data in Stamford.

Mrs. Kinzig is predeceased by her husband Francis Ferdinand Kinzig, her brother David S. Styles and an uncle who raised her, David S. Van Wagener, all of Stamford.

She is survived by her two sons, Jeffrey A. Kinzig of the Springdale Section of Stamford and also her care giver of 12 years; and Christopher A. Kinzig of New Fairfield, CT. Also two grandchildren, Christoper A. Kinzig Jr., and Brian P. Kinzig, both of New Fairfield, CT.

Mrs. Kinzig was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, in the Glenbrook Section of Stamford. There are no calling hours or services.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to the Richard L. Rosenthal Hospice Residence Shelburne Rd. Stamford, CT 06902.
