Nancy Susetka

Nancy F. Susetka, 88, a resident of Stamford for 65 years, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at Smith House Health Care Center. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio on January 29, 1925 to the late John and Julia Fyk Fetchet.
For 48 years, Nancy and her late husband Frank owned and operated the Belltown News Service until her retirement in 1995. She managed all front office responsibilities including bookkeeping, billing, customer service, routing and staffing.
She was extremely devoted to her family and will be sadly missed by her loving children Judith S. Baluha and her husband Richard of Norwalk, Barbara S. Walsh and her husband John of Armonk, NY, William F. Susetka and his wife Stephanie of Palm Coast, FL and her son-in-law William H. Humphreys of Bedford, NY along with her grandchildren Brian and Julianne Susetka and Jake and Maggie Walsh.
Besides her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband Frank J. Susetka, her daughter Mary K. Humphreys of Bedford, NY, and eight siblings; Ann Lischak of Youngstown OH, Mary Gilida Hickman and Julia Homsey of Boardman, OH, Christine Byers of Ocala, FL, Stephen Fetchet of Ontario, CA, Frank Fetchet of Columbia Station, OH, Michael Fetchet of Youngstown, OH and John Fetchet of New Canaan, CT.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at 9:20 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Cecilia's Roman Catholic Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park, 230 Oaklawn Avenue, Stamford. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, April 1, 2013 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy’s memory to the Mary K. Humphreys Endowed Scholarship in Special Education at Manhattanville College, Office of Institutional Developments, 2900 Purchase Road, Purchase, NY 10577, Attn: Mr. Steven Semple (914-323-5171).
