Nellie Meno
July 22, 1916 — February 7, 2007
Nellie C. Meno, 90, passed away on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at Whitney Manor in Hamden. Born July 22, 1916 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Peter J. and Katherine Sidor Rink.
Nellie was a retired accountant for various companies. She was also a member of AARP and a member of St. John the Evangelist RC Church when she lived in Stamford. She also served as a Notary Public for many years and was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her nephew, David J. Rink of Stamford; and three nieces, Felicity Freese of New Hampshire; Julia Meno of Jackson Hole, Wyoming; and Carolyn Meno of Trumbull.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William J. Meno; and a brother, John P. Rink; and a nephew, Christopher Meno.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Monday, February 12, 2007 from 6:00 8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 at St. John the Evangelist RC Church, 279 Atlantic Street in Stamford at 9:30 AM, with MSGR. Di Giovanni officiating. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery in Darien.
