Nicholas Dolce

Nicholas M. Dolce, 90, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 26, 2009. Born in South Barre, Mass., on January 2, 1919, he was the son of the late Frank and Carmella Simeone Dolce.
Nicholas was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp, having served during WWII, and was the owner of Dolce Service Station in Stamford for over 40 years.
Nicholas is survived by a son, John Dolce & his wife Mira of Stamford; a daughter Patricia Frate of Guilford; three grandchildren, Roger Frate, Jr. & his wife Donna of Trumbull, Jennifer Gould & her husband Robert of Darien, and Kimberly Hlebogiannis & her husband Johnny of Stamford; and seven great-grandchildren, Tyler, Nicholas, Hannah, Austin & Avery Gould; Ryan Frate; and Nicholas Hlebogiannis. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Bertha Pietruszka Dolce; his sister, Caroline Guillette; his son-in-law, Charles Euskolitz; and two great-grandchildren, Hailey & Hunter Gould.
There will be no calling hours. Interment will be private. Arrangements are being handled by the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford.
