Nicholas Yoranidis

Nicholas Yoranidis, 67, a longtime resident of Stamford passed away suddenly on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the Stamford Hospital, surrounded by his family. Nicholas was born on March 21, 1950 in Kyria-Drama Greece, son of the late Prodromos and Polyxene Aslanidou Yoranidis.
Nick mostly enjoyed spending quality time with his family. He was an eternal optimist, always walking around with a great big smile, and his laughter was contagious. He was humble and kind, his generosity extended to all those around him. His faith was deep and he always made sure to give thanks for all of his blessings. Nick’s love of warm weather made Florida his favorite place to vacation with his family. He will be deeply missed by his family and all those whose path he crossed. May he rest in eternal peace.
Nicholas is survived by his loving wife Kiriaki Hionidis Yoranidis of Stamford and their children, Michael Yoranidis of Stamford, and Nicole Kalvesmaki and her husband Jason of Hoboken, NJ. Also surviving is his brother Gus Yoranidis of Stamford.

Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT, TOMORROW, Sunday, January 14, 2018 from 3:00PM to 6:00PM with a Trisagion Service to be held at 5:00PM. A procession will be leaving the funeral home on Monday, January 15, 2018 at 9:30AM and process to the Church of the Archangels, 1527 Bedford St., Stamford, where a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00AM. Interment will follow at the Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Place, Stamford.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Nick’s memory can be made to the Church of the Archangels.
