Otto Rupp

Otto Rupp, 84, died at home surrounded by family on September 27, 2008 following a courageous battle with cancer. He was the loving husband of the late Rosa Rupp. Born on June 27, 1924 in Schwabach, Germany he was the son of the late Josef and Margaret Rupp. He immigrated to the United States with his wife and children in November of 1956.
Otto was a veteran of WWII, and was a retired machinist from Pitney Bowes, where he was employed for over 25 years.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by one brother and two sisters.
Mr. Rupp is survived by his son, Karl and wife Bernardine of Stamford; his daughter, Rosemarie Meloni and husband Giorgio of Palm Coast, FL; and his daughter, Marianne Pinkston of Talbott, TN; his 9 grandchildren, Lawrence (LD) Densky, William Densky, Diane Lonergan, Bobby Densky, Jill Sweet, Caroline Bills, Lisa Meloni, Christine Bella and Gregory Rupp. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Otto Rupp will be private. Friends are welcome at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, October 2 from 5:00 8:00 PM.
