Panagiotis (Taki) Stathopoulos, 63, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 with his family by his side.
Born on July 15, 1951 in Logkastra, Greece, Panagiotis moved to the United States in 1968.
Panagiotis was an incredible father, brother, son and businessman. He is greatly loved and respected by all those who knew him, he will truly be missed. Panagiotis is survived by his children Anna, Spiro and Stacie, his mother Anna Stathopoulos, sisters Effie Maragos and her husband John, Georgia Stathopoulos and Margarita Kakouros and her husband Petro, along with his nieces, nephews and cousins.
Family and friends may call at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave, Stamford CT, TODAY, Friday, August 1, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. A Trisagion service will be held at 6:00 PM with Father Constantine Matthews officiating. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1230 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations to be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 1230 Newfield Ave, Stamford, CT 06905 in Panagiotis’ name.
