Patricia M. Benemio, 79, a twenty-three year resident of Stamford and a former resident of Forest Hills, New York, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at Stamford Hospital after a long illness. She was born in New York City on May 19, 1927, and was the daughter of the late Andrew and Rose Foley McLaughlin.
She graduated from Cathedral High School of New York, New York in 1945 and married Frank E. Benemio in 1947. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Frank V. and Virginia R. Benemio; their three children, Andrew, Christopher, and William of Stamford. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Cecilia Avery; and Patricias two grandchildren, Patricia Beth Ann Benemio; and John Christopher Benemio of Syracuse, New York.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Regina Stipack; her husband, Frank E. Benemio, who was a criminal investigator for the United States Justice Department for thirty-three years; and her son, John Francis Benemio.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, December 14, 2006 from 4:00 8:00 PM. Interment will be private.
