age 58, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2007, surrounded by her family and friends. She was born April 26th, 1949 in Yonkers, NY to the late Alfonso and Bessie Sava DiLascio.

She leaves behind her loving husband of 36 years, Alfonso Carozza; as well as three adoring childen, Michael Carozza and his wife Laura; Christopher Carozza; and Danielle Carozza, who could not have asked for a better mother and role model. All of the family resides in Stamford, CT. She also is survived by her loving sister, Marie and brother-in-law, Emidio Parente of Scottsdale, AZ; as well as a large extended family including numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, over 25 nieces and nephews, and many special friends who cared for her as though she were a part of their family.

Together with her husband Al, Patty ran Amore Restaurant in Stamford for over 30 years. Patty and Al always held family holidays there and they built many fond memories with their friends and clientele. Always with her husband and children, Patty’s family was the center of her life. She had a gift for making others feel loved, understood and accepted and was known for her effortless kindness and wonderful advice. People were drawn to her happy, smiling face and she always seemed to be the center of attention. In her spare time she loved being on the family boat, Main Course, welcoming family and friends, cooking for everyone, and making them laugh.

Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Sunday, September 30, 2007 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday, October 1, 2007 and proceed to St. Cecilia RC Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM with Reverend Robert Post officiating. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
