Patrick G. Considine, Sr., 76, a lifelong resident of Stamford, passed away on Monday, February 02, 2009. Born on June 20, 1932, he was the son of the late Edward and Ann Daly Considine.
Patrick was a Veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean Conflict from September 5, 1950 to July 15, 1953. He worked for the City of Stamford as a custodian for 30 years before his retirement. He was also an avid football fan of Notre Dame. One of his greatest loves was attending his grandchildrens sporting events, especially Taylors baseball games.
Patrick is survived by three sons, Kenneth M. Considine & his wife Laura of Stamford, Patrick G. Considine, Jr. of Norwalk and Thomas J. Considine & his wife Lisa of Trumbull; a sister, Muriel Rysinski of North Carolina; five grandchildren, Amanda, Carine, Taylor, T.J. & Teddy; and numerous nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Nancy Coppola Considine in 2008; three brothers, Edward, Raymond & John Considine; and his sister Agnes Smith.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Thursday, February 5, 2009, from 4-8 PM.
A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:50 AM on Friday, February 6, and proceed to Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Interment will be held on Monday, February 9, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Johns Cemetery, Darien. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the Smith House, 88 Rockrimmon Road, Stamford, CT 06903.
