Patsy Bellocchio

Patsy R. Bellocchio, 69, of Milford, CT passed away on Friday, Oct 17. 2014. He was born on November 18, 1944 to the late Pietro and Lucia Albrizio Bellocchio.
A graduate of Greenwich High School, he joined the United States Navy, serving on a Naval destroyer during the Vietnam War in the Bay of Pigs Conflict. He was honorably discharged in 1964. He was proud of his military service and participated in veteran events in the area throughout his life. He became a substance abuse counselor at Norwalk Hospital fourteen years. Patsy was an avid fisherman and loved animals.
He is survived by his son Anthony Bellocchio of Stamford, his daughter Cynthia D. Rubin of Milford, CT, his sister Elizabeth Bellocchio of Southbury, CT, his brother Frank P. Bellocchio and Elizabeth P. Ball of Stamford, CT, his uncle Frank Albrizio and his wife Madeline of Greenwich, as well as his nephew Frank Bellocchio and niece Jaclyn Bellocchio both of Stamford and cousins throughout CT.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Leo Parish, 24 Roxbury Road, Stamford. Interment will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Patsy’s memory to Puppies Behind Bars, 263 West 38th Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10018.
