Patsy “PP” J. Plescia, 85, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on August 5, 2012. He was born in Port Chester, NY on January 17, 1927 to the late Anthony and Florence Tigano Plescia.
Patsy “PP” served during WWII with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS PICKAWAY APA 222 from 1944 to 1946. He started his career in 1955 with the Laborers International Union of North America Local 235, where he served as a proud and dedicated laborer until his retirement in 1989.
Mr. Plescia is survived by his three daughters, Patricia “Patty” Zaccagnino of Stamford, CT. Denise “Dee” Roman and husband Efrain of Stamford, CT., and Margaret “Peggy” Oquendo and husband Angel of FL. His sister-in- law Mary O’Hagan Corrigan of Greenwich, CT., and sister-in-law Judith O’Hagan of NC. Patsy is also survived by his grandson Efrain Roman Jr., and wife Megan of Stamford, CT., grandson Dwayne Oquendo and wife Laura of FL., a granddaughter Erin Zaccagnino of Stamford, CT., and granddaughter Jessica Rosado and her husband Jason of Stamford. Eight great-grandchildren also survive him along with many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents Patsy is predeceased by his beloved wife Margaret “Peggy” Ann O’Hagan
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT 06902, (TODAY) Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 10:00AM and proceed to the Woodland Cemetery, Woodland Place, Stamford, CT where a Christian Burial will be celebrated. Services will conclude with full military honors.
