Philip Ladestro, 75, a resident of Stamford, CT, passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born September 6, 1931 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Mary Loglisci Ladestro.
Mr. Ladestro was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served for thirty years with the Stamford Police Dept. He was a member of the Police Benevolent Association and the Gravinese Mutual Aid Society. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Augustine Council #41 in Stamford, and the Piedmont Club of Darien.
Philip is survived by his wife, May Johansson Ladestro; his three children: Karen and her husband Stephen Ostaszewski of Stamford; Debra and her husband Donald Blome of Kuwait; his son, Sal, of Los Angeles; 6 grandchildren: Krista, Brian and Kara Ostaszewski; and Sarah, Nicholas and Carl Blome. He is also survived by 2 brothers: Salvatore and his wife Kathy of Stamford; and Ralph and his wife Guri of Ellicott City, MD; a sister, Antonia O'Brien of Stamford; a brother-in-law, Joseph Mossa of Stamford; and 11 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Mossa.
