Porfirio Pagan Vasquez, 75 of Stamford, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010 at Stamford Hospital. Born on September 18, 1934 in Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Juan Pagan and Rafaela Vasquez.
Porfirio worked for many years as a jewelry repairman at the Crownwall Jewelry Corp until his retirement in 1994.
Porfirio is survived by his lifelong partner and “wife”, Elydia Pedrosa of Stamford; his children, Miguel and Jose Pedrosa, Lydia O’Hagan, Brunilda Roman, Juan Pagan, Doris Young , Gladys and Elsie Pagan; his siblings, Antonio Pagan, Aida, Esther and Isaias Cerezo. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Porfirio was predeceased by his sister Matilde Cerezo and brother Salvador Pagan.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 20, 2010 at 7:00PM at the First Spanish Nazarene Church, 89 Henry Street, Stamford, CT 06902, for his friends and family to attend. Interment will be private.
