Ralph A. Bounty, 99, a lifelong resident of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Edgehill. Born in Stamford on July 13, 1926, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Florence Bounty. He graduated from Stamford High School in the Class of 1944 and served in World War II with the 20th Air Corps in Guam.

In addition, he developed extensive acreage in Stamford, including Butternut Lane where he resided for 56 years before moving to Edgehill.
He was also a founder of the Roxbury Swim & Tennis Club, a member of the Stamford Yacht Club, and one of the original 39 members of the Good Ole Boys senior tennis association. He was a passionate Syracuse basketball and football fan, and his love for tennis, paddle tennis, and antique penny arcade machines was evident throughout his life.
