Ralph R. Pope, Jr.

Ralph R. Pope, Jr., 65, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Richard Rosenthal Hospice in Stamford. Born March 4, 1943 in Stamford, he was the son of the late Ralph R. Sr. and Antoinette Tartaglione Pope.
Ralph was the owner and operator of Ralphs Services of Stamford. He was a devoted and long time member of St. Mary RC Church of Stamford. Ralph was a devoted husband and father, an extremely caring family man and a considerate friend who would do anything for anyone and was loyal to all. He also loved his antique clocks and his two pet birds.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Peggy A. Pope of Stamford; a son, Alfred Pope of Stamford; three sisters, Rosemarie Rosati, Jennifer OHara and Lucy Ann Erickson; and a brother, Frederick Pope. Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, his extended family and friends also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Donald Pope.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Wednesday, April 23 from 5:00 7:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 10:30 AM on Thursday, April 24 and proceed to St. Mary RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. Johns Mausoleum, Camp Avenue, Darien.
