Richard R. Lockwood, 76, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away on Monday, June 27, 2016. He was born in Stamford on March 6, 1940 to the late Harry Lockwood Sr. and Aida Passaro Lockwood.
Richard was employed as a Machinist at Pitney Bowes for thirty years before retiring in 2001.He enjoyed horseback riding and was an avid Yankees fan.
Richard is survived by his loving sons, Michael J. Lockwood of Stamford, John R. Lockwood and his wife Mabel C. of Stamford, a brother Harry “Chubby” Lockwood and his wife Ursula of FL, five grandchildren Jessica, Brooke, Zachary, Jay and Kylie Lockwood, as well as his cousin, Joe Rainone, a niece Cathy and two nephews, Ricky and Chris.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 1, 20167 at St. Gabriel RC Church, 914 Newfield Avenue, Stamford at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien.
