On Tuesday, May 18th, 2021 this world lost a loving father, supportive husband, doting son, protective brother, and an amazing friend. Richard T. Murillo was born May 19th, 1977 to Ricardo and Isabel Murillo in Stamford, CT.
For anyone who knew Richard knew that he was a die-hard Giants fan, an adventure seeking, wise cracking, fun loving, truth seeking, up-front, natural born leader who was embraced by anyone he encountered because of his hilarious wit and charm. Richard was a force to be reckoned with and always put family first. He is the epitome of loyalty and working hard to help support his family. Richard had a way of commanding any room he walked into. His smile and laughter filled any room, and all of our hearts.
There is no one like Richard on this planet and he will be greatly missed by scores of family friends and anyone who has been blessed with the opportunity to cross paths with such an incredible man.
Besides his parents Richard is survived by his devoted wife Maryann (Quermorllue) Murillo, and a cherished son Collin Murillo of Norwalk. His sisters Elizabeth Hernandez and her husband Fermin of Knoxville, TN, and Laura Copeland and her husband Russel of Middletown. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews, Jay, Grace, Sienna, Alana, Russell III, and Victoria.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM.
