RICHARD “RICKY” SERRANO, age, 60, passed away on Saturday, October 10, 2015. He was born on August 20, 1955 in Long Island, NY to Ines Miranda Serrano-Levay and the late Ramon Serrano.
He is survived by his loving mother,Ines Miranda Serrano-Levay, of Tampa, FL, three brothers, Dario Serrano and his wife Mary, Ray Serrano and his wife Lynn, Thomas Serrano and his wife Iris, a sister Aixan-Lilly Serrano, four children, Ricky Serrano,Jr. and Rico Serrano and their mother Diana Serrano, Gisella and Joell Serrano and their mother Maria Paredes, two stepchildren Raul and Dwight Garcia as well as five grandchildren, Ricky III, Keno Wade, Nyelyn, Ja’nye, and Quincy. Ricky is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Besides his father, Ricky was predeceased by his brother Horacio Serrano and his sister Elizabeth Serrano.
He will be remembered and missed by all whose lives he touched. Ricky had a passion for making people smile and laugh, and a talent for art. He worked as a barber and loved styling and cutting his family and his friends hair.
A prayer service will be celebrated on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford at 1:00 PM. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 12:00-4:00 PM. Interment will be private.
