Richard Zaccagnino
August 29, 1956 — February 16, 2018
Richard Allen Zaccagnino sadly and suddenly passed away, Friday February 16, 2018. Born in Stamford August 29, 1956 to the late Vincent J. and Marie DeMott Zaccagnino.
Richard was employed by the City of Stamford where he was a dedicated custodial supervisor for over 27 years. He attended Stamford Schools, graduating from Stamford High School in 1974. Known to many over the years as “Zack,” Rich will always be remembered as a “jump in and help” kind of guy, you just needed to ask. Rich loved his yard work and his home as well as his Harley, his John Deere, and had a love for the Pontiac GTO.
Rich is survived by his loving daughter Erin D. Zaccagnino of Stamford; a brother Vincent Zaccagnino of Rye Brook NY; his niece and goddaughter Ashley Zaccagnino; one uncle and many aunts. Also surviving are his many nephews, nieces, great nephews and great nieces and as well as many cousins and friends. In addition he is survived by his former wife Patricia (Patty) Zaccagnino.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Ave, Stamford on Saturday February 24, 2018. Interment will be private. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Ave., Stamford, CT is handling the arrangements.
