Robert Carlson

Robert Harold Carlson, 90, of Ansonia, formerly of Stamford, passed away peacefully on Thursday June 4, 2015 at Griffin Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born in Clifton, NJ on December 10, 1924 to the late Fred and Anna Theresa Anderson Carlson.
Robert was a loving husband to Lorraine Madigan Carlson for 56 years. He served as an Army Medic in World War II, after which he worked at Pitney Bowes as a tool and die maker before his retirement.
Robert is survived by his wife Lorraine Carlson of Ansonia, his son Daniel and his wife Diane of Ansonia, his grandsons, Joseph Faryniasz of Ansonia and Daniel Faryniasz of New York, his granddaughter Laura Carlson of Florida as well as his three great grandchildren, Olivia, Sara and Joey Faryniasz.
Besides his parents, Robert is predeceased by his brother Carl Carlson and his sister Arlene Sabato.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Monday June 8, 2015, from 3:00 to 7:00PM. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday June 9, 2015 at 10:30AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Rockrimmon Road, Stamford.
