Robert Allan Ferry, age 91, died peacefully at The Nathaniel Witherell nursing home on January 31st. He grew up in Pittsfield, MA, was a radio gunner in the Air Force in WWII, and graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute as an electrical engineer. He worked for GE as a design engineer, then in quality control and later as teacher of a continuing education course. He also worked for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers coordinating their continuing education programs and then as Facilities Manager.
Bob was a Boy Scout. As an adult he was a leader and Scoutmaster. He loved
classical music and listened to it regularly. After retirement genealogy became his passion. He joined The Connecticut Ancestry Society and was editor of its journal for many years. He was active in the First Congregational Church of Greenwich where he served as a Deacon and as Church Clerk.
He is survived by Mary, his wife of 57 years, his sons Allan(Lisa) and Thomas(Kathleen) and grandchildren Ethan and Ellen.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on February 15th at the First Congregational Church of Greenwich. In lieu of flowers,donations may be made to The Friends of Nathaniel Witherell for its recreation program. 70 Parsonage Road, Greenwich, CT 06830.
