Robert J. Keane Jr., 75, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Monday June 4, 2012, born in New Rochelle on October 6, 1936 to the late Robert J. Sr. and Marie Rowan Keane.
Bob, a Certified Public Accountant, was previously the Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer of Sotheby’s International Realty Inc. Prior to joining Sotheby’s, Bob was Treasurer, Corporate Secretary and a Director of Fletcher-Thompson Inc., an architectural and engineering firm in Bridgeport.
Bob is a graduate of The College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York and Connecticut Societies of Certified Public Accountants.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Christina "Justy" (Carlo) Keane of Stamford, his children, Kevin Keane of Washington, DC, Carolynn Hayman and her husband Jim of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Marianne Keane of Sheffield, Massachusetts, Jon Carlo Gallup of Stamford, Robert C. Gallup and his wife Stacy of New Canaan. Also surviving is his sister, Patricia Sparkman of Groton and grandchildren, Timothy and Lauren Keane, Anna Hayman, Kristi and Casey Gallup, Brittney, Tessa and Michaeleen McKinley.
A funeral service will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the North Stamford Congregational Church, 31 Cascade Road, Stamford. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory in Stamford is handling the arrangements.
