Robert Anthony Morris

Robert Anthony Morris, 51, beloved husband of Erin McGrath Morris, died suddenly on Sunday September 3, 2006, at his home in Stamford, CT. Born in New Haven, CT on September 20, 1954, he was the son of the late Edward B. and Genevieve Hill Morris. He has resided in Stamford for the past 18 years. He grew up in Hamden, CT and graduated from Quinnipiac University. Formerly the director of advertising for Pan American World Airways, Robert was most recently employed as a purchasing manager for Vantage Associates in Nyack, NY.
Besides his wife, Robert A. Morris leaves two children, Emily A. Morris and Matthew B. Morris; one brother, Edward J. Morris and his wife, Patricia, of Knoxville, TN; five sisters, Mary M. Connelly of Cheshire, CT; Sheila Ryan and her husband, Bill, of Rockford, IL; Kathleen Malane and her husband, David, of New Canaan, CT; Claire Sills and her husband, Michael, of Bedford, NH; Rita Cassel and her husband, Jules, of Wilton, CT; and 17 nieces and nephews, along with numerous family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Jane Ann Morris.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday September 7, 2006 from 4:00 8:00 PM at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 10:50 AM on Friday September 8, 2006 and proceed to Church of St. Cecilia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. Interment will follow at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford.
