Robert James Munch, 98, passed away peacefully at his home on September 28, 2016.
Born in Lakewood, NJ, Bob was a scientist from the start, adventurously exploring the world. He earned his chemistry degree at Rutgers, and enjoyed 37 years as Senior Research Scientist at American Cyanamid. Later he and his wife Priscilla traveled the nation in their RV for 20 years, appreciating the National Parks, historical locations and making friends. Bob chronicled aspects of life including photographs of family and travel, and detailed journaling. He was a WW II Navy veteran.
Bob is recently predeceased by his soul mate and wife of 65 years. He will be deeply missed by his children Gary Munch, Joan Karlsen (Nick) and Linda Kalish (Mark); grandchildren Guy Karlsen (Erin), Eric Karlsen (Nicole) and Amanda Kalish; three great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours and funeral services will be private. Bob and Pris’s cremains will be interred together by his family in Shelburne, MA.
