Robert P. Rachinsky, Jr.

Robert P. Rachinsky, Jr., 33, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2008 at Danbury Hospital. Born November 6, 1975 in New Haven, he is the son of Robert P. Sr. and JoAnn Faillace Rachinsky.
Robert worked in Investment Operations for UBS Bank and was an avid Mets fan. Rob was a loving husband, father and son as well as a loyal and devoted friend.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Melissa M. Rachinsky of Ridgefield; his son, Reed E. Rachinsky of Ridgefield; his father-in-law, Garth E. Mortimer; mother-in-law, Ann B. Mortimer both of NY; his sister-in-law, Julianne Simmons and her husband Richard Cleveland; and his brother-in-law, Timothy Mortimer and his wife Kelly.
He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Blaze Faillace and John Rachinsky; and grandmothers, Rose Maltesco Faillace and Josephine Galasso Rachinsky.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Monday, December 29 from 4:00- 8:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 10:40 AM Tuesday, December 30 and proceed to St. Mary RC Church, 566 Elm Street, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Darien.
