Robert Buzzeo, Sr., 61, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, on February 26, 2009, at Richard Rosenthal Hospice in Stamford. Born in Stamford on May 24, 1947, he is the son of Margaret Vitti Buzzeo and the late Alfred Robert Buzzeo.
In his youth he was a Navel Sea Cadet. He was a twenty year active member of the Revolutionary War Reenactment Group, the 2nd Continental Light Dragoons, Talmadges Troop. Robert worked as a Maintenance Supervisor for G.R.P. Realty. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Patricia Santagato Buzzeo of Bethel; two sons, Robert Buzzeo & his wife Susan of Waterbury, and Bryan Buzzeo & his wife Maria of Bethel; a brother Anthony Buzzeo of Stamford; and a sister Lorraine Pace & her husband Daniel of Stamford. Grandchildren, Christopher, Corey, Daniel, Brittany, Bryan Jr., Brittany, Rocco, Sarah & Mia; three nieces, Jessica, Kari & Samantha; and two nephews, TJ & Michael, also survive.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Sunday, March 1 from 2-6 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home on Monday, March 2, 2009 at 9:50 AM and proceed to the Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow at Fairfield Memorial Park Cemetery.
