Robert B. Violette, 87, of Stamford, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026. Robert was born in Manhattan, NY on December 18, 1938, to the late Levite and Ludivine Morasse Violette.
Robert (Bob) had a diverse career in Manhattan, working for an architectural firm for 13 years after leaving architectural school. It was while he worked there that he met his beloved wife, Dolores. After leaving his wife, he was offered another architectural job working in Stamford, CT, where he and his family moved and where he spent the remainder of his life. After leaving this job, he worked for the Stamford Housing Authority as the Director of Buildings and Grounds for over 30 years. He would eventually retire from this employment. Bob will be remembered for many things: his unconditional love for animals, his altruism in volunteering for numerous local organizations, and his love for his family, especially his grandchildren. His loyalty and fierce commitment to those for whom he called call friend or family will be terribly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Robert is survived by his daughter Michele Corrow, of Stamford, his grandsons Hunter and Tyler Corrow, his granddaughter, Storm Corrow and his nieces Rita Curtis and Carolyn Gagnon. He is also survived by his goddaughter, Rosemary Callejas.
Besides his parents, Robert is predeceased by his loving wife Dolores Claps Violette, his son, Michael Violette, and his sister, Jeanette Retcho.
