Roman Ropicki
March 15, 1952 — June 30, 2015
Roman M. Ropicki, 63, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 30, 2015. He was born in Glogow, Poland on March 15, 1952 to the late Theodore and Antonia Juszcak Ropicki.
Roman was an employee of Grade A Market in Norwalk for nineteen years and was also a member of the Holy Name Athlethic Club.
He is survived by his loving son, Derek R. Ropicki and his wife Elizabeth of MI, his brother John Ropicki of Stamford, his sisters Emilia Bajus and her husband Jerry of Stamford, Jaroslawa Hudak and her husband Steve of Stratford and a brother in law Samuel Hrywna, as well as three grandchildren Jaymi, Giana and Alexander Ropicki and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Roman was predeceased by his sister Maria Hrywna.
A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 9:30 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 AM at St. Vladimir’s Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral, 24 Wenzel Terrace, Stamford. Interment will be held at a later date. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
