Ronald Viesti

Ronald Viesti, 81, of Branford and a former resident of Stamford passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018. He was born in the Bronx, NY on October 10, 1936 to the late Carlo and Madeline Cafarelli Viesti.
Ron was a Carpenter with the City of Stamford, Board of Education for many years before retiring. He was a 2nd Degree Knight with the Stamford Knights of Columbus and a member of the Stamford Fish & Game Club. Ron was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed spending many hours fishing with his children.
Ronald is survived by devoted wife of 60 years, Patricia Sciglimpaglia Viesti, his loving children Ronald Viesti Jr., Lisa Viesti and her husband Greg Michie, Lynn Berube and her husband Peter. He is also survived by his siblings, Carl Viesti Jr., Maryann Burriesce and her husband Ray Stayer, and Deborah Fratino and her husband Daniel, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A funeral procession will be leaving the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT on Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:10 AM for a for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 PM at Sacred Heart RC Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, June 28, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Ronald’s memory to the Schriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St, Springfield, MA 01104
