Rosa Pensiero

Rosa Tarzia Pensiero, 72, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Stamford Hospital. She was born in Arena, Italy, in the region of Calabria, on March 24, 1949 to the late Pasquale and Immacolata DePace Tarzia.
Rosa was 18 years old when she and her family immigrated to the United States. She graduated from the National Academy of Hair Dressing school and spent her time working as a hairdresser. She was also a caring homemaker, who enjoyed cooking, sewing and providing for her family. Rosa graciously offered her time and attention to her family and friends as a devoted caregiver.
Rosa is survived by her children; Lisa Pensiero and Raymond Pensiero, both of Stamford, her former husband; Mario Pensiero, of Stamford, stepdaughter; Jeanna Pensiero, of Stamford, and her siblings; Catherine Codato, Frank Tarzia, Joseph Tarzia, Lucy Sorbora, Michael Tarzia and Stella LoPreiato.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Wednesday morning, December 15, 2021 from 8:30-10:30 AM, with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Sacred Heart R.C. Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John R.C. Cemetery in Darien.
