Rose Cipri
August 18, 1928 — April 19, 2015
Rose M. Cipri, 86, a lifelong resident of Stamford passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, April 19, 2015. She was born on August 18, 1928 in Stamford to the late Nicola and Josephine Mericola DiSette.
Rose was a Nursery School Teacher for ten years at the Italian Center in Stamford until her retirement in 1995. Besides being a wonderful cook and baker, she was a devoted wife of sixty three years and a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her loving sons, Anthony Cipri and his wife Gina of Brookfield, CT, Richard Cipri and his wife Lisa of Wilton, CT, four grandchildren Jessica, Victoria, Matthew and Brian Cipri and her sister Philomena Scognamiglio of Italy.
Besides her parents, Rose was predeceased by her devoted husband Anthony Cipri on April 7, 2015, a brother Alexander DiSette and two sisters Louise Montefuscoli and Jeanne Avantino.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM, following will be a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12:30 PM at the Church of St. Ceciia, 1184 Newfield Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at St. John’s RC Cemetery, Darien.
