Rose Healy

Rose M. Healy, 101, of Stamford passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at St Camillus Health Care Center. She was born on January 31, 1911 in New York City to the late Peter and Carrie Senkel Shabesky. Rose was predeceased by her loving husband Edward J. Healy of sixty six years of marriage, from June 1932 until his death in September of 1998.
Rose was employed with Carlton Wilson Interiors in New York City as an Interior Decorator’s Assistant for 28 years before her retirement.
Rose is survived by her three loving daughters, Patricia Connors of Stamford, Rosemary Schifini and her husband Philip of Ft. Myers, FL, Janet Healy and her husband Paul Richman of Chevy Chase, MD and seven grandchildren, Philip Schifini of North Merrick, NY, Jeanne-Marie Schifini of Rockville Centre, NY, Christopher Connors of Denver, CO, Brian Connors of Cos Cob,Jennifer Pietrow of Burnt Hills, NY, Sarah Richman of Washington, DC and Peter Richman of Rockville, MD. Also surviving are six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral procession will be leaving The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, CT 06902 on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at 10:40 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:00 AM at St. Bridget’s of Ireland RC Church, 278 Strawberry Hill Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne , NY. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, May 21, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
