Rose M. Tait

Rose M. Tait, 91, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2009 at Stamford Hospital. Born March 9, 1917 in Rye, New York, she was the daughter of the late Rocco and Mary Russo Carlo.
Rose, affectionately known to her family and friends as �"Aunt Rose, was an employee of Pitney Bowes for forty five years until her retirement, and was a member of the Pitney Bowes Oval Club. She was a parishioner of St. John RC Church in Darien and was a member of their craft group.
She is survived by two sisters, Catherine Carlo Gulli and Lucy Joyce of Stamford; two nieces, Mary Lou Riggat of Clinton, CT; and Kathy Robustelli of Stamford; two nephews, Ralph Morgan of Vero Beach, FL; and Tim Joyce of Stamford; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frank Tait; and a sister, Nettie Morgan.
Friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Tuesday, February 17 from 4:00 7:00 PM. A funeral procession will be leaving the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday, February 18 and proceed to St. John RC Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Johns Cemetery, Camp Avenue, Darien.
