Ruby Iris Blaine

Ruby Iris McLeod Blaine, 93, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Stamford Hospital. Born in Kingston, Jamaica on May 24, 1913, she was the daughter of the late John and Josephine Samuels McLeod.
Mrs. McLeod moved to the USA in 1974, where she lived with her son Glenworth and his family. She was a devoted member of St. Andrews Church. She was also a retired employee of Olin Corporation.
She is survived by four sons, Glenworth Blaine and his wife, Enid, of Stamford; John Blaine and his wife, Carolyn, of North Carolina; Desmond Blaine and his wife, Joy, of New Jersey; and Eric Lindsay and his wife, Barbara, of Canada; a sister, Zona Hall of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother and four sisters.
Friends and family may call at the St. Andrews Church, 1231 Washington Blvd, from 10:00 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 6, 2007. A funeral service will then follow at 11:00 AM with the Reverend R. Sherman Beattie officiating. Interment will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at 11:00 AM in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
