Russell Chapman Gladwin, Jr., 84, of Stamford passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Stamford Hospital. He was born in Stamford on August 16, 1932 to the late Russell C., Sr. and Vina Delahuntaye Gladwin.
Russell was employed at Ligitte Rexall Drug as a salesman for twenty years before his retirement. Russ enjoyed his Skiing trips to Vermont with his wife Lucy and his family for many years and not only was he a devoted husband, but also a devoted father and grandfather.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty four years, Lucille Sarni Gladwin of Stamford, his loving son Russell Chapman Gladwin, III and his wife Sue of Monroe, CT, as well as his grandchildren Kelly, Katie and Russell Gladwin.
Family and friends may call at the Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford on Saturday, November 26, 2016 from 11:00 AM- 2:00 PM with a Prayer service to be held at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
