Ruth Gale

Ruth J. Gale, 75, of Shelton passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2009. Born in Elmira, New York on April 21, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Elbert J. and Marie F. Mack Madigan.
Ruth is survived by two daughters, Lisa M. Gale of Shelton and Theresa F. DeCarlo of Stratford; two sons, John R. Gale of Stratford and Elbert J. Gale of Stamford; three sisters, Shirley O’Connor of Stamford, Lorraine Carlson of Monroe and Mary Helen Judge of Stamford; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Robert K. Gale, in 1994.
There will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held at Queen of Peace Cemetery, Stamford, at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 27.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations are made to the family and sent to Lisa Gale, 27 Soundcrest Drive, Shelton, CT 06484 or directly to the Cognetta Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses. The Nicholas F. Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, is handling the arrangements.
